The Blogger is Back!

Ok, so it's been over 3 months since our last blog post!  Yikes!  It's been a rough 3 months for me but I am back in the world and ready to blog again!  We are currently updating our website with some new photos of the BC family.  Also, the horse show calendar has been updated so please visit that at www.banburycrossltd.com under the "event schedule" link.  Stay up to date with Banbury Cross on our facebook page, blog and website in 2013!  More posts coming soon!!

CCHSA MEDAL FINALS

Banbury Cross had a really fun day at the CCHSA Medal Finals at Wyndsor Farm this past Sunday.  Some of the highlights include Cawood & Emma earning Reserve Champion in the Novice Equitation Division and Gabby & Johnny winning Reserve Champion in the 13 & Under Division.  Both Grace & Tucker and Sam & Wendel did very well in their divisions too. 

Our adults however stole the show!  Barbara & Harvey were amazing over those BIG jumps in the Adult Equitation Division!  Congrats on a great ride Barb!!  Amy & Happy won the Championship in the Adult Eq with Kaley & Christopher right behind in Reserve.  They switched it around though in the Medal Finals with Kaley WINNING and Amy in SECOND!  What a proud moment for Banbury Cross!  Thank you everyone for a great day.  We love our Banbury Cross Family!!

Radnor Hunt Paper Chase

Our fearless leader Denise took 9 horses on the Radnor Hunt Paper Chase on Sunday November 11th.  Everyone had a BLAST on the paper chase and enjoyed a most beautiful November day!

BRASS RING HALLOWEEN HORSE SHOW

We had a fun show at Wyndsor this past Saturday earning lots of great prizes and ribbons. Kathy Gilmer always has really fun prizes at this show and we were lucky to walk away with some! Sam & Wendel won the Reserve in the Equitation Challenge with Gabby & Johnny right behind in 3rd place, both winning saddle pads. Sam & Wendel also went on to win Reserve Champion in the Children's Pony Division. Gabby & Johnny won first prize in the CCHSA Medal and were Champion in the Low Children's Division! Cawood & Emma won first place in both the costume class (as tic tacs) and their under saddle class! Here are some pictures of our fun day before the big storm!

Jen Miller Clinic

Banbury Cross sends a big THANK YOU to Jen Miller for coming to us last weekend and giving a super fun clinic!  Everyone had a great time and the weather was perfect!  Thank you to all who attended and all who helped to make it a great weekend.  We look forward to another visit from Jen in the spring.  Here are a few pictures from Day 1 of the clinic.

Pennsylvania National Horse Show

We had such a fun time at The Penn National Horse Show in Harrisburg this past Tuesday!  Christopher and Lola were such good ponies and Kaley and Ashley rode great!  Pictured below is our Team BC that night: Lola, Ashley, Denise, Ainsley, Casey, Eva, Christopher and Kaley!  Sheila and Lynn were the moms behind the scene!  Congrats girls on such a fun evening!  You looked beautiful!

 

 

This weekend (today and tomorrow) Jen Miller is at our farm doing another fun clinic!  We had Jen come in July and she was a hit!  We are so excited to welcome her back to Banbury Cross again.  We hope everyone has a blast.  Look for pictures from the clinic on our next blog!  Have a great weekend everyone!

Horse Show & Clinic Weekends!

September 22nd & 23rd we attended the CPJHSA Horse Show at the Quentin Riding Club.  Sam & Wendel had a fantastic weekend winning a class in the Children's Large Pony Division and earning 3rd place after two rounds in the Fluff Monkey Classic!

Gabby & Johnny were champion in the Pre Children's Horse Division and Cawood rode Emma well and earned some ribbons too.  Congrats girls on a fun weekend!

This past weekend we had lots going on!  We had some riders attend the Geoff Teal Clinic at Valley Mist Farm on Saturday.  Grace & Tucker, Susan & Rose, Marlo & Ben, Gabby & Johnny and Kaley & Chris all had a blast at the clinic.  We LOVE doing clinics and learn so much from them.  Thank you Denise for taking everyone to the clinic!

 Then Sunday Denise took a group to the Fox Heath Horse Show. Gabby & Johnny were champion again in the Pre Children's Horse Division followed by Cawood & Emma in reserve! You girls are on a roll! Congrats! Sam & Wendel got some ribbons in the Children's Large Pony Divison and Ashley & Lola cleaned up in the Adults with champion. Way to go Team BC!
